During the on-site assessment, we will complete the following:
- Be introduced to your staff to minimize disruption
- Discuss and review of Base Line discussed during Pre-visit homework with management team
- Complete a facility walkthrough and observe current flow
- Observe current repair process flow based on current lay-out
- Focus on foot path Analysis (efficiency)
- Complete 5S evaluation
- Identify successes and limitations
- Identify possible locations for Visual Production Processes
- Identify current part storage process and evaluate for best practices
- Take photos for visual discussion and create a base line
- Complete a repair quality assessment (based on processes)
- Conduct 100% disassembly assessment and evaluation
- Complete estimate review of in-process vehicles
Using the above observations, the Collision Advice Consultant will identify opportunities for improvement that would assist you in reaching your outcomes and overcoming your stressors. Prior to departure, the Collision Advice Consultant will provide a presentation for your organization, highlighting both the challenges and successes of your organization. The presentation will also outline of possible improvements in each key area of your organization. The outcome is to create a solid baseline of performance so outcomes can be clearly defined.
Once your management team has agreed to the outcome and path forward, the Collision Advice Consultant will conduct a “WOW” meeting for your entire staff. The purpose of this meeting is to present the vision and the steps on that journey. However, most importantly, the purpose is to gain individual buy-in to the process.
